Preserving the Fabric of History
In 2021, the venerable Tasman Peninsula Historical Society (inaugurated in 1986) has had a name change!
The Society will now be called the Tasman Forestier History Group to better reflect the entire municipality and the greater scope of historical interest in the wider area.
We will continue preserve and promote the post-convict history of the Tasman & Forestier peninsulas in southern Tasmania.
On this site you will be able to see what we have planned for the coming year and some articles and activities that refer to times gone by…
You will also be able to add your own comments and stories…
The Tasman Forestier Historical Group meets on the first Monday of each month at 7 pm. Meetings are held in the Old Courthouse at Premaydena.
The Society is incorporated and subscriptions are currently $10 per annum.
